The Idaho Department of Labor has a dedicated Veterans' Services resource page that includes information on Veterans' Preference, special hiring authorities, and federal employment information.

The Idaho Division of Veterans Services is dedicated to serving Idaho's veterans and their families. They provide information on benefits and education, high quality long-term care, and interment services.

Recent military service and medical records are not online. However, most veterans and their next of kin can obtain free copies of their DD Form 214 (Report of Separation) and the following military service records: Official Military Personnel File (OMPF); Replacement Medals; Medical and Health Records; Burials and Emergency Requests; and Natural Disaster Requests.

For U.S. veterans, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has created a GI Bill Comparison tool to help veterans learn about educational options and compare benefits by school.

What Benefits Am I Entitled To As a Veteran? 
If you are a veteran, you may be eligible for the following benefits: Disability Compensation for Veterans, Disability Pension, Dependents, and Other VA Benefits.

How Can I Receive Help to Get These Benefits? 
For assistance obtaining veterans' benefits, please contact your local office of the Idaho Office of Veterans Advocacy by visiting their webpage here: https://www.veterans.idaho.gov/advocacy

The Office of Veterans Advocacy is a full-service bureau that helps veterans, their family members and survivors pursue all federal and state benefits and entitlements on their behalf. Their staff has qualified benefits specialists trained to help veterans and families gain benefits they are entitled to under the law. They provide counseling and referral services to individuals and families, to provide veterans with current, accurate information on the entire range of issues associated with veterans’ benefits and entitlements. This service is available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Messages may be left 24 hours a day.
