Getting legal help is easier than you might think. Idaho Legal Aid Services has three convenient ways to apply for assistance. You can complete a secure online application, call our intake line, or visit one of our local offices for in-person support. However you choose to reach out, we're here to listen and ready to help.

How To Apply

Click here to begin our secure online application. The process typically takes around 15 minutes and will consist of asking you a series of questions. Once your application is reviewed, an intake specialist will contact you.

Phone Application PHONE APP PHONE APP

Call us at 208-746-7541, Monday through Wednesday, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Mountain Time (9:00 a.m. to 12:30 noon Pacific Time). Please note that phone intakes are not available on Thursdays or Fridays.

In-Person Application IN-PERSON APP IN-PERSON APP

Visit your local Idaho Legal Aid Services office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for an in-person application. In-person intakes are not available after 4:30 p.m.

Legal Advice Hotlines

Idaho Legal Aid Services offers dedicated advice lines that provide counsel and advice on a range of civil legal issues. Attorneys may give a caller legal advice, schedule an appointment at one of our local offices, or provide helpful referrals to other organizations when appropriate. Please Note: Idaho Legal Aid Services helps individuals with civil legal problems. We do not provide help with criminal matters. For help with a criminal matter, please contact your local Public Defender's office.
