Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is hiring a full-time Staff Attorney for our Coeur d’Alene office to deliver high impact civil legal representation for low-income and vulnerable Idahoans; including survivors of domestic and sexual violence, housing-insecure neighbors, and vulnerable seniors and children. ILAS is a statewide nonprofit law firm where staff consistently describe the culture as supportive, flexible, and collaborative - with a sustainable work-life balance (full-time is 37.5 hours/week). 

In this role, you’ll provide direct client representation across multiple civil practice areas, with an anticipated focus on Indian law, elder law, and family law (including survivor representation). You’ll manage cases from intake through resolution, including client meetings, investigation, research and writing, pleadings, negotiation, and litigation. Coeur d’Alene offers an outstanding quality of life in the Idaho Panhandle, with four-season recreation and easy access to the Spokane metro area.

Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is hiring a full-time Domestic Violence Law Staff Attorney in our Boise office to provide trauma-informed civil legal representation for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, stalking, and trafficking. This position focuses primarily on family law (including civil protection orders, custody, divorce, paternity, and child support) while also addressing related civil legal needs that directly impact survivor safety and stability, such as housing, consumer, and elder law

ILAS is a statewide nonprofit law firm serving low-income and vulnerable Idahoans. Staff consistently describe our culture as supportive, flexible, and collaborative. In addition to direct representation, this attorney will help develop written legal education materials and conduct outreach and education with community partners serving ILAS client communities.

Qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; licensed in Idaho or eligible for admission within three months; demonstrated commitment to poverty law and serving vulnerable and at-risk Idahoans (public service experience and relevant language skills are a plus).

Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is hiring a full-time Staff Attorney for our Twin Falls office to provide direct civil legal representation to low-income and vulnerable Idahoans. This is a great fit for an attorney who wants meaningful, litigation-forward work with a statewide nonprofit law firm, and a workplace culture that includes a sustainable work-life balance. 

What you’ll do: Manage a hands-on caseload from intake through resolution, including client meetings, investigation, witness interviews, trial preparation, research and writing, drafting pleadings, and court appearances. You’ll provide representation across several civil practice areas, with an anticipated focus in consumer law, elder law, housing law, and family law, including matters serving survivors of domestic or sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. You’ll also contribute to community education through outreach, educational workshops, and written legal education materials, supporting organizations that serve ILAS client communities. 

Compensation & benefits: Salary range $74,000–$110,000 DOE, robust insurance benefits (life/health/dental/disability), generous leave, retirement, relocation assistance, and potential eligibility for Legal Services Corporation loan repayment and federal loan forgiveness programs. Limited telecommuting may be available after three months.
