Current Opportunities

Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is seeking applicants for a full-time Managing Attorney position in its Coeur d’Alene office. The Managing Attorney will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise and mentor attorneys and staff, engage in direct client representation, and ensure compliance with ILAS policies and procedures. Casework may include representation across multiple practice areas, with a focus on serving survivors of domestic or sexual violence, housing law, elder law, and tribal law with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. Applicants must have a J.D., at least three (3) years of direct client representation experience, and be a member of the Idaho State Bar or eligible for admission within six months. Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is seeking applicants for a part-time (90% FTE) Domestic Violence Law Staff Attorney in its Boise office. The attorney will provide civil legal representation to survivors of domestic, dating, and sexual violence, stalking, and trafficking - focusing primarily on family law matters. The position also includes handling related civil legal issues that affect survivor safety and stability, including housing, consumer, and elder law. The attorney will also develop written legal education materials and conduct outreach to community partners that serve ILAS’s client communities. Applicants must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, be licensed or eligible for admission to the Idaho State Bar within three months, and demonstrate a strong commitment to poverty law and serving vulnerable and at-risk Idahoans.

Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is seeking applicants for a full-time Bilingual Legal Assistant in its Twin Falls office. The Legal Assistant will provide direct support to clients and prospective clients, including conducting intakes across multiple civil legal practice areas, offering Spanish interpretation, and assisting attorneys with case management, trial preparation, scheduling, and document drafting. The position also involves coordinating and conducting outreach activities in both English and Spanish, building relationships with community partners, and helping develop and share educational materials. Qualified applicants will be fluent in Spanish, have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and writing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google applications, and an interest in serving low-income and vulnerable Idahoans. Prior legal assistant, law firm, or office experience is preferred.
